Dear Parents,

As summer begins and the school year ends, I hope that you and your family have a blessed and beautiful summer. I am looking forward to teaching your child and getting to know the in the fourth grade. I am also looking forward to meeting you in the new school year.

Please encourage your child to read as often as possible during the summer months. Keeping them active mentally and spiritually as well as physically is key. In addition to their required summer reading and reports your child can also keep a journal, estimate time and distance to a destination or create a prayer service for the entire family.

During the summer, you may purchase the following:

crayons and /or colored pencils
small pair of scissors
highlighter
glue stick
pencils
pencil case (no boxes)
art box
12" plastic ruler
markers
2 folders

I ask that you wait until September to purchase copybooks and theme tablets at school. The first day of school the children will receive a list of exactly what they need to buy.

I hope that this summer gives you and your family a time to relax, enjoy each other and appreciate the beauty of God's creation.
